The high quality of the presentations that we have at the iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

Sessions for the iMoot are to be a maximum of 45 minutes long including question time.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

Cognition E-learning: Moving courses online

Content Type: Online Teaching and Course Creation

Language: English

Description of Presentation

Educational Content used to be an easy equation = put 10 Chapters into one Text Book delivered in 1 Format.  How things have changed!

So let's talk about the new challenges facing Digital Content Development because you can no longer design content for just one delivery point.  I don't like the term 'Rapid E-learning'. Try thoughtful, effective, well formed, intelligent, relevant, elegant, sensible, beautiful: almost anything but the term 'Rapid' when talking about creating meaningful and effective learning experiences.

This session Francis, will talk about Cognition E-learnings approach to collating, organising, designing course content in a way that is ready to be moved into Moodle, showing a step by step process that will help ensure you get the most out of moving online.
