The high quality of the presentations that we have at the iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

Sessions for the iMoot are to be a maximum of 45 minutes long including question time.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

Improving Moodle usage in an Brazilian university

Content Type: LMS Case Studies and Research

Language: English

Description of Presentation

Are you fighting in the trenches of the war behind a Moodle adoption?
Do you struggle with teachers only using Moodle to upload files?
Have you ever seen an course that was posted inside a forum because it was the only known tool?
Did you ever had to explain why using Moodle is better than using e-mail to communicate with students?

If  your answer is "Yes" to any of these questions, this talk was made for you.

All these trobules and much more and being dealt every day, in an Brazilian university that already works with Moodle for more than 7 years, but still lacks some of the initial steps for a wider adoption of the system in its learning process. All the steps that are being taken to reinvent and popularize the usage of Moodle inside the university will be debated in this talk, so that more people won't struggle in the process of "desmitifying" the magic behind Moodle!
