The high quality of the presentations that we have at the iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

Sessions for the iMoot are to be a maximum of 45 minutes long including question time.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

Description of Presentation

Although in a completely different context, Frederick Douglass’s words have held true throughout my career as a change agent. Change for me has taken many forms: implementing new systems, integrating, re-launching, re-branding, killing or ‘re-purposing’ systems, etc. One thing is for sure, no matter how well planned I have been, there have always been surprises along the way. Some welcome ones, some not so much. In this keynote I'd like to talk about the hidden internal politics, the law of unintended consequences, 'invisible' forces that make or break projects, etc. I’ll try to share some of the strategies that have worked for me, and also some that did not quite pan out.
