The high quality of the presentations that we have at the iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

Sessions for the iMoot are to be a maximum of 45 minutes long including question time.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

Description of Presentation

Using a 3-tiered course program to promote discussion between disparate groups enhances the already constructivist design of Moodle. Each course is specifically designed for the target audience, namely students, parents and teachers.  Each course starts at the same time and covers the same topics, but each according to their need, ability and interest.  Providing quality and varied resources and through the use of activities, participants are encouraged to discuss via forums within and between groups what they have just learned. It is in these discussions that relevant knowledge is created.  Relevant to that community.

The program is being trialled with over 1000 students and preliminary results will be presented.

A 14 minute video presented recently at the EdTech Review conference in New Delhi describes the program in more detail.
