The high quality of the presentations that we have at the iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

Sessions for the iMoot are to be a maximum of 45 minutes long including question time.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

Thanks!

Description of Presentation

The Moodle.org forums are a great source of help but they can be frightening and scary especially if you are not technical.  The presentation will cover:

  • An overview of the different forums so that you're in the best place to ask for help.
  • Where to find details of forum rules and etiquette.
  • What sort of default information you should give and where on your system you can find it.
  • How to perform typical actions like 'Purge all caches'.
  • Other places of information.
  • 'Ask a moderator / developer' so please have your questions ready smile.
